Code of Conduct

Seven Hills is a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse community. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neurotype, physical appearance, body, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, or religion.

Everyone participating in the event – including the event Discord – is required to abide by this Code of Conduct and the Harassment and Inappropriate Conduct Policy.

Safety

All games should use safety tools appropriate to the game being played – the primary responsibility for this lies with the GM. Safety tools include the X-Card, Script Change, and having an Open Table policy. More details of these and other tools can be found in the TTRPG Safety Toolkit.

Consideration

In games, and in the Seven Hills discord, be mindful of words and consequences. Opinions and discussion should be done in a spirit of support, kindness and inclusivity. Be positive and supportive of others.

Some Guidelines for Safe Online Play

  • Clearly indicate concept, aim, tone and subject matter of games, in game submissions and at the start of sessions
  • Respect player and character pronouns, and experiences
  • Plan regular breaks and schedule for them (at least approximately) at the start of the session
  • If wishing to record and/or stream a game, notify players in advance and respect their wishes if they do not want it to be shared (including if they request this after the game)

Any concerns arising from this Code should be referred in the first instance to the convention organisers (Jag or Guy).
